Gaffney, S.C. (October 5, 2017) – Garrett Smithley, driver of the No. 0 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet Camaro, is excited to race Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend, one of his favorite tracks.
Saturday’s Drive for the Cure 300 will be Smithley’s fourth time racing the 1.5 mile track in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. His previous starts at Charlotte have yielded one top-15 finish and a pair of top-25 finishes.
“I love racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway,” said Smithley. “The ‘Number Nuthin’ team has yet to leave CMS disappointed, so I’m hoping we can really turn some heads this weekend.”
Saturday will also be Smithley’s 69th career NASCAR start.
Charlotte Motor Speedway practice is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying will start at 12:05 p.m. Saturday. The Drive for the Cure 300 will get the green flag at 3:00 p.m. on NBCSN.
