GAFFNEY, S.C. (May 7, 2018) – Ross Chastain has proved once again that the “Monster Mile” of Dover International Speedway is friend to him and team JD Motorsports with Gary Keller. Chastain came home in 16thplace in the NASCAR Xfinity Series OneMain Financial 200.

Chastain’s  No. 4 Chevrolet Camaro carried the “Protect Your Melon” message once again at Dover, the third year in a row that team JD Motorsports with Gary Keller has teamed up with the Delaware Office of Highway Safety (OHS) to encourage race fans to buckle up and drive safe.

“From how we practiced on Friday, we made a lot of big improvements,” said Chastain. “My No. 4 guys swung everything they could at the car, and it paid off. The first run of the race was really good, and we were able to maintain with the changing track. We had good pit stops and a lot of commitment from the guys behind the wall. All in all, it was a great race for us. I’m proud to carry the ‘Protect Your Melon’ message on the car, and hopefully we encouraged some race fans to buckle up on the way home.”

The NASCAR Xfinity Series will take a two week break before the next race, the Alsco 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 26th, 2018.
