BRISTOL, TN (Friday, September 18, 2020) – JD Motorsports is excited to welcome Food City back as an associate sponsor of the JD Motorsports Chevrolet for Friday night’s Food City 300.

The supermarket retailer is Bristol Motor Speedway’s longest running sponsor and the second longest in NASCAR Motorsports.  Food City will team up with Earnhardt to promote their new line of Crav’n Flavor products.

Crav’n Flavor features a wide variety of top-quality frozen meal solutions, along with a complete selection of cookies and crackers.  The Crav’n Flavor line is aimed at satisfying cravings for something hearty, savory and delicious.

Entering this weekend’s Food City 300, Jeffrey Earnhardt sits 23rd in the driver’s points standings despite missing the first four races of the season. Never a slouch at the short tracks, Earnhardt’s best-career finish with the team came back in 2014 at Bristol and has been putting together a solid campaign for 2020. The fourth-generation driver will start Friday’s race from the 15th position, exactly where he crossed the line back in June.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday, September 18th for the running of the Food City 300.  Be sure to tune in to NBCSN at 7:00 PM eastern time for live coverage from The World’s Fastest Half Mile.

WINGNUTZ GRILL & BAR PARTNERS WITH COLBY HOWARD AND JD MOTORSPORTS AT BRISTOL

WINGNUTZ GRILL & BAR PARTNERS WITH COLBY HOWARD AND JD MOTORSPORTS AT BRISTOL

GAFFNEY, SC:

JD Motorsports with Gary Keller is proud to announce that Wingnutz Grill & Bar will be partnering with Colby Howard and the No. 15 Chevrolet for Friday’s Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Wingnutz Grill & Bar is a sports restaurant located in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, not far from Howard’s hometown of Simpsonville. This weekend at Bristol, the restaurant will make its debut as a primary sponsor.

Howard, who is competing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series on a part-time basis, enters the weekend looking to build upon his Bristol notebook having raced there in June. During the spring race, Colby ran up inside the Top 15 until unfortunate circumstances damaged his car. Despite the carnage, Howard still managed a 19th place finish, and has a good shot at improving on that this week.

When asked about his upcoming race at Bristol, Howard was optimistic: “Man, I’m excited to return! We had a really good car for my first race in the spring. I think that now, especially with all of my experience, we should have a really solid night on Friday. Having Wingnutz on board means a lot to me, as it’s always nice to welcome new partners! Hopefully we will make everybody proud with a good run.”

Colby Howard will start 31st in his No. 15 Wingnutz / Project Hope Foundation Chevrolet.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series season heads to Bristol Motor Speedway for the annual night race. Always a handful, the half-mile short track provides plenty of action for fans. JD MOTORSPORTS TABS JADE BUFORD & BIG MACHINE HAND SANITIZER TO JOIN FORCES AT ROAD AMERICA

JD MOTORSPORTS TABS JADE BUFORD & BIG MACHINE HAND SANITIZER TO JOIN FORCES AT ROAD AMERICA

Gaffney, SC –

JD Motorsports with Gary Keller (JDM) is proud to announce that 11-time IMSA/SRO World Challenge winner Jade Buford will make his second-career NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start driving the No. 6 Big Machine Hand Sanitizer Chevrolet at Road America on August 8th.

Buford, who calls Nashville, TN his home, made his NXS debut at Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s road course earlier in the month with SS-Greenlight Racing. On the July 4th race date, Jade drove the No. 07 Chevrolet to a respectable 14th place finish in just his first ever stock car race.

With a sports car racing background that spans over a decade, Buford looked to NASCAR for his next challenge. Buford’s GT4 record includes race wins at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Barber Motorsports Park, and Sebring. Along with the race wins, Buford has amassed several pole positions as well, including one at Road America in Pirelli World Challenge competition. He looks to translate that valuable experience into his efforts this weekend at the historic Wisconsin track.

Backing Buford’s second NASCAR-sanctioned start will be Big Machine Hand Sanitizer, owned by Big Machine Label Group President/CEO Scott Borchetta. Borchetta, a road course racer in his own right, co-drives with Jade on various road racing divisions in SVRA competition.

Heading into Road America, Buford looks to build on his finish in his last outing at Indianapolis. Now more familiarized with the heavier stock cars, he believes he can improve in multiple ways. With plenty of laps around the 4.048-mile road course, a Top 10 finish should not be out of the question.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to Road America this Saturday for the second road course race of the year. Be sure to tune in live on NBC Sports Network or MRN radio at Noon Eastern Time for coverage of the Henry 180. For all things JDM, follow along on our social media pages @JDMotorsports01. #TeamJDM

JESSE LITTLE EARNS JD MOTORSPORTS’ FIRST TOP 10 FINISH OF THE SEASON AT POCONO

JESSE LITTLE EARNS JD MOTORSPORTS’ FIRST TOP 10 FINISH OF THE SEASON AT POCONO

Pocono, PA -

The JD Motorsports with Gary Keller flag was flying high this weekend at Pocono Raceway. Leading the way for the team was North Carolina rookie Jesse Little, who was able to earn his best-career finish and his first Top 10.

Little, who has been knocking on the door of a Top 10 finish since the start of his rookie campaign this season, entered Sunday’s Pocono Green 225 hungry. A random draw in qualifying gave Jesse a 14th place starting spot, and it was all uphill from there. In a race that saw a total of nine caution periods, Little drove a smart race and avoided numerous crashes.

Though it was his first ever race at the 2.5-mile triangular track, Little raced like a veteran throughout the entire race impressing many. Crew chief Bryan Berry threw caution to the wind with a strategy call to leave Jesse out on the track late in the race, gaining spots and positioning Jesse up inside the Top 10. Through the late race restarts, Little capitalized and was able to hold off his nearest competition to bring his No. 4 Chevrolet home in 10th place.

Following in Little’s footsteps was fellow rookie Ryan Vargas, who made his first start of the season at Pocono. Vargas and crew chief Mark Setzer utilized a similar strategy of their teammates to position themselves up in the Top 10 late in the race. Though the California rookie ultimately did not earn the finish they were looking for, Vargas still notched his best-career NXS finish of 13th.

Fellow teammates BJ McLeod and Jeffrey Earnhardt had solid outings as well, ending the day in 14th place and 16th place, respectively. This past weekend proved to be the team’s best race of the season by far, a great showing for drivers, partners, and crew members all around.

Looking at the drivers’ points standings, Jesse Little finds himself sitting 18th with teammate BJ McLeod not far behind in 19th. Despite missing the first four races of the season, Jeffrey Earnhardt has climbed his way up to 24th position, not far behind his nearest competitors.

Next Saturday, the NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a curveball of a race. For the first time ever, the road course layout will be used instead of the iconic oval circuit. JDM looks to build on their momentum with drivers Jeffrey Earnhardt, Jesse Little, BJ McLeod, and the returning Mike Wallace. Live coverage of the weekend’s Pennzoil 150 will be on NBC at 3:00 PM ET, so be sure to tune in for another exciting race.

JD MOTORSPORTS SIGNS RYAN VARGAS TO A MULTI-RACE DEAL STARTING AT POCONO

JD MOTORSPORTS SIGNS RYAN VARGAS TO A MULTI-RACE DEAL STARTING AT POCONO

Gaffney, SC –

JD Motorsports with Gary Keller (JDM) is proud to welcome Ryan Vargas back to the team for a multi-race deal in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Vargas competed for JDM in three NXS races last season with starts at Iowa Speedway, Road America, and Phoenix Raceway. In those three races, Ryan had an average finish of 20.3, with a best finish of 17th coming in his debut race at Iowa in July.

The 19-year-old from La Mirada, California turned heads last season in the three races he ran, impressing team owner Johnny Davis immensely. Ryan has proved to show his worth to partners on and off the track as well, as he was a member of the 2018-2019 NASCAR Next class.

Coming up through the NASCAR ladder through the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program, Vargas has made the most out of his career by cutting his teeth on short tracks throughout the country in full bodied stock car competition. In 2018, he drove for REV Racing in the ARCA Menards Series East where he earned six Top 10 finishes and rounded out the season sixth in the standings.

“The opportunity to race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Johnny Davis and Gary Keller last season was a big step in my career. I knew that this group was where I wanted to be, as we mesh really well together. This year, with more races in the works, I am confident that we will have the ability to put together some strong runs. Those who know my story understand how excited I truly am to be a part of this incredible series, and they know how hard I have worked to get to this point.”

With the 1.0-mile oval in Phoenix being the biggest track that Ryan has raced on, he enters uncharted territory this weekend for his first race of the season at Pocono.

Vargas went on to say “My goal is to gain as much experience as humanly possible on bigger tracks, and to do so we need to complete all the laps. Heading into Pocono this weekend with no prior experience on a track of that caliber is a little intimidating for sure, but I am confident in my team’s ability to put together a strong car capable of a good finish.”

Supporting Ryan once again is Cranio Care Bears, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to spread awareness and support to families and children that struggle with Craniosynostosis, a condition that causes problems with a child’s brain and skull growth. This organization hits close to home for Vargas, who at just the age of eleven months, had to undergo surgery to correct such problems. FACES: The National Craniofacial Association will also support Ryan this weekend in Pocono. There are sponsorship opportunities available for future races with the team.

Though he has not been in a racecar since November, Ryan has played a key role within JDM. On race weekends, he has helped the team as a crew member, working on the cars and helping during pit stops. In addition to his hands-on experience with the team, he also competed for JDM in the iRacing Pro Invitational Series during times of quarantine. He looks to translate that time in the sim into results on track this season.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to Pocono Raceway on Sunday, June 28th for the running of the Pocono Green 225. Be sure to tune in to FS1 at 12:30 PM ET to watch Ryan Vargas make his NASCAR Xfinity Series season debut at the “Tricky Triangle”. Last weekend's double header at Miami-Homestead was an all around success for Jesse and the JD Motorsports team.  Without being able to qualify starting positions are being determined by draw.  Race one, Saturday Jesse rolled of 16th and race two on Sunday Jesse started from the 18th position. These were great starting spots at a track where passing is tough.

After round 2 of Homestead Jesse said " We started off strong and made some good adjustments.  The guys did a great job on pit road today.   Flawless stops.  All in all just a solid effort.  I felt we learned a lot.  Ran up against the wall.  Got into the wall.  I learned from that."  Jesse finished with "We're getting stronger and we're looking forward to the rest of the year."

If you missed the videos on Facebook this week where Jesse spoke with Shriners Patient Ambassador Theodore go back and check them out!  Meeting with the ambassadors has been a highlight of the season for Jesse.

Without fans in the stands and the pits that took away the opportunity to bring the Ambassadors to the tracks to visit with Jesse and talk about the Shriners and their mission.  To overcome that obstacle, and until fans are allowed, Jesse will be meeting with Shriners Ambassador Patients virtually to learn about them and share their story how Shriners has supported both the patients and their families.
