Indianapolis 2013 Race Preview – Landon Cassill

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NASCAR Nationwide Series will enjoy one of its spotlighted weekends as Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosts the circuit for Saturday’s Indiana 250.

Before last season, the Nationwide tour had raced at nearby Lucas Oil Raceway. The Indy tour stop moved to IMS in 2012, generating a ton of publicity and putting Nationwide racers on the world’s most famous race track.

Landon Cassill will be in the field Saturday in the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Flex Seal Chevrolet as the series races for the 19th time this year.

“It’s a great track and a great race,” Cassill said. “The history oozes out of that place. It’s special every time you walk through the garage.”

JD Motorsports’ No. 4 car finished 10th in the race last year with Jeremy Clements aboard.

Practice for the Indiana 250 is scheduled at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Friday. Qualifying is set for noon Saturday, with the race scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
