HAMPTON, Ga. – The second race of the Xfinity Series season found Ross Chastain scoring a 25th-place finish.
Chastain followed JD Motorsports teammate Harrison Rhodes home by one position in the Rinnai 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
“We had a pretty good car,” Chastain said. “Atlanta is a tough, fast track. We got there in the middle of the pack and couldn’t push forward, but we got some strong laps in.”
Chastain is 15th in Xfinity points as the series rolls on to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for a March 11 race.
Monster Energy NASCAR Cup invader Kyle Busch won at Atlanta.
