RICHMOND, Va. – Landon Cassill scored his second straight top-13 finish in Friday night’s ToyotaCare 250 Nationwide Series race at Richmond International Raceway.

Cassill finished 13th on the lead lap. He was 12th two weeks ago at Darlington Raceway.

The finish boosted Cassill one spot to 12th in Nationwide driver points.

The race started several hours late because of weather problems.

“We had a good car and stayed in the top group all night,” Cassill said. “I was hoping we could clip off another couple of spots, but that was a pretty good finish. We’ll be pleased with that and roll on.”

Cassill started 10th and ran virtually the entire race in the teens.

The series moves on to Talladega Superspeedway for a May 3 race.
